On Saturday, June 11th, the 709 Roller Derby are having a special exhibition match titled “709 Roller Derby Gives Back.” The charity is the Children’s Wish Foundation; a fabulous and well-established organization that grants “a favourite wish for children afflicted with a high risk, life-threatening illness.”
This event will take place at Fieldian Gardens, on Pennywell Road. “The Neversweets and the Vixens are coming together to bring you an amazing mixed game experience. We will be battling it out to raise funds and awareness of the Children’s Wish Foundation, the largest, all Canadian wish-granting charity.”
Doors open at 6:30pm and the game starts at 7:00. Advance tickets are available at Rosie the Rebel Boutique and online. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Children 12 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult. “We would like to add that there will be no alcohol served at this game but Kono Pizza will be outside the arena to satisfy all of your snack needs!”
Enter here for a shot at 2 free tickets. Winner will be notified by email Thursday at midnight.
