Green and Gold, recently voted “Best Band in Town” by Overcast readers, are on a Canadian tour at the moment, and took a break to post some great news. The one and only Blundstone boots will be including them on a playlist this fall. A playlist that includes music royalty like Old Man Luedecke, Said the Whale, Chad Vangaalen, and 2014’s breakout band Alvvays. Which only means one thing: There’s bands in this town, like Green and Gold, that are as good as any (Polaris-nominated!) band in any other Canadian city.
Royal Canoe are on the playlist too. Watch this wild video below from this wildly innovative band. Also, is it just me, or is one of their drummers a bit of a dead ringer for local musician Thom Coombes?
