Eastern Edge Members Show Reception @ Eastern Edge Gallery
Friday at 7:00pm, FREE

The Annual Eastern Edge Members’ Show Opening Reception doubles as the gallery’s infamous holiday party. This is a fun opportunity to see work by a slew of local artists and maybe even take some home with you. Drinks will be available by donation and dancing is strongly encouraged!

Tickets will be for sale on two Bonavista Getaway Packages that are being raffled off as a fundraiser for the gallery. The Eastern Edge Members’ Show will be on display until December 30th.

Christmas Charity Pop Up Series @ Local Downtown Businesses
Saturday at 1:30;2:15;3;3:45. By donation

Catch sets by two of St. John’s favourite musicians, wrap up your holiday shopping, support local businesses, and donate to an essential not-for-profit in your community, all in one go!

Joanna Barker and Brad Power will be playing four sets at local downtown businesses this Saturday afternoon. The duo will be collecting donations for The Gathering Place, a local organization that provides programs and services for people who are homeless, lack adequate housing, are often unemployed, and/or do not have adequate social supports. Joanna and Brad’s schedule for the afternoon:

Girls Rock NL Carolling Party @ Georgetown Cafe & Bookshelf
Sunday at 1:00pm, FREE 

Girls Rock NL is inviting people of all ages to join them as they sing their way through Georgetown and the downtown area this Sunday. Carollers will meet at Georgetown Café & Bookshop at 1:00pm and finish up at the War Memorial on Duckworth Street around 4:00pm.

Organizers will be handing out song sheets of classic holiday tunes. Attendees should RSVP to girlsrocknl@gmail.com so organizers have a sense of how many sheets to prepare. People should dress warmly and not be shy about sporting Santa hats or reindeer ears!
