Wiener Dog Racing

7th Annual Wiener Dog Races
Saturday 1:45pm-3:00pm @ Mount Pearl Glacier

After seven successful years, Dachshunds of Newfoundland and Labrador is gearing up for the annual Running of The Hot Dogs at the 2017 NL Pet Expo. If you can think of anything more hilarious and heart-warming than a wiener dog race, I’d love to hear it! Stick around after the Running of the Hot Dogs for Critters N Things’ Reptile Exhibit.

Shopping

Etsy Pop Up Market
Saturday 12:00pm – 4:00pm @ Rocket Bakery

Eleven local Etsy vendors will be selling their handmade wares in person at Rocket Bakery this Saturday. Love & Butter will be there with delicious baked treats to snack on while you browse everything from screen-printed clothing (Pinpoint Ink) to hand painted Ukrainian eggs (The Crafty Puffin). Grab a coffee, check out the wares, and chat with the craftspeople about their work. Admission is free and there will be door prizes!

For The Kids

This beginner-level digital gamemaking workshop hosted by Kids Learning Code is designed to be attended by kids (ages 8-13) accompanied by an adult. Over the course of the afternoon, kids will learn some hands-on programming skills that they can use to continue making games on their own after the workshop. Each kid and adult duo must bring their own laptop.
