Art Opening/Karaoke After Party

There’s a lot of exciting stuff happening at EE this Friday! Visual artists Heather Goodchild & Naomi Yasui are visiting St. John’s for the opening of their show Last is First. They will be giving an artist talk at 6:00pm in the main gallery. Artist, Emily Pittman will be celebrating the opening of her show A House of Another Colour in EE’s rOGUE Gallery. The evening will wrap up with a karaoke after party, MC’d by Alex Noel.

My First Time Anniversary
Saturday 8:00pm – 10:00pm @ The Levee

It’s been one year since NightOut Productions hosted the first My First Time comedy show, featuring ten stand-up comedy newbies. Since then, the series has introduced 67 stand up comedians to the St. John’s scene. This Saturday’s show will feature eight killer My First Time alumni. Two tickets to Chris Locke Live At The LSPU Hall will be given away at the event.

For Kids

Young Scientist: Mothers in The Wild
Saturday 1:00pm-3:00pm @ Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre

In honour of Mother’s Day, The Manuels River Experience is hosting an afternoon of activities designed to teach kids how different mother animals help their young survive in the wild. All ages are welcome but activities are geared towards kids between the ages of 3 and 10. Admission is $7.00 per person and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
