Free Lecture

The Possibilities of Printmaking
Friday 7:00pm @ The Anna Templeton Centre

As part of the Anna Templeton Centre’s Celebrate Craft: Lecture & Workshop Series, Anita Singh will be giving a free lecture about different types of printmaking, on Friday evening. Saturday afternoon she will be giving a hands-on workshop where participants can experiment with using different methods to create their own prints. Advance registration is required for the workshop portion of the weekend and there is a fee that covers materials.

There’s going to be a super fun punk show at the RAT this Friday night in support of mayoral candidate Renee Sharpe. Head down for eleven to catch Hard Ticket, Yee Grlz, Pillow Count, and Conditioner. Cover is $5.00 at the door and all funds go towards Renee’s campaign.

Old Fashioned Garden Party
Sunday 1:00pm- 4:00pm @The Rooms

The Rooms is hosting a free garden party on the grounds in front of the building. They encourage people to bring a blanket and pack a picnic. There will be potato sack races, kites, hula hoops and a cuddly Newfoundland dog. Plus, the Newfoundland and Labrador Archaeological Society is bringing artefacts for picnic-goers to examine. Organizers will be collecting food bank donations.
