Dance Party

FAF Dance Night
Saturday 10:00pm – 3:00am @The Peter Easton Pub

This feminist as f*ck dance night aims to be a “…safe, inclusive space to just friggin shake it.” Party starts at 10:00pm with an hour-long open mic where speakers can discuss community issues. After that DJ Slayist will take over for the remainder of the night with a set of songs by and for feminists. The event is free if you arrive before 10:30pm, otherwise cover is $10.00.

The Black Sheep’s 3rd Anniversary Show
Sunday 3:30pm -3:00am @The Black Sheep

The Black Sheep is celebrating its 3rd birthday with 12 hours of music, drink specials, and nibbles. The line up is jam packed with St. John’s favourites, including the Sherry Ryan Band with Brad Power, Dave Rowe, Chris Connelly who are playing in the afternoon. Followed by an open mic/jam hosted by Peter Mcguire in the early evening. The epic event will finish with Presto Magic featuring Steve Meadus, Joe Tucker, Tommy Duggan and Geoff Meadus.

Roller Skating for Adult Beginners

709 Roller Derby are hosting a free ‘basic skating’ training session this Sunday. The league will set you up with the equipment you need for the session (including helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards and quad roller skates) and their volunteer coaches will help you get up and rolling. People of all genders, shapes and sizes are welcome to attend the ‘basic skating’ session but all skaters must be 19+.
