The St.John’s Native Friendship Centre’s annual Spirit Song Festival is happening this weekend. Everyone is welcome to drop by the Centre for an afternoon of cultural activities including; a Reconciliation Circle, an Open Jam Session, a Collaborative Art Piece, and a Four Fires Feast.

Guy Fawkes Night
Sunday 6:30 -8:30pm @ Portugal Cove/ St. Phillips Recreation Centre (side lot)
The Town of Portugal Cove/St. Phillips is hosting a Giant Bonfire in celebration of Guy Fawkes Night with free marshmallows and hot chocolate. Scouts will be hosting a fundraiser bake sale at the event, so there’ll be no end to the tasty treats at this big ol’blaze.

Sunday Nature Program
Sunday 2:00 - 4:00pm @ MUN Botanical Gardens
Every Sunday until November 19th, MUN Botanical Gardens will be hosting a Family Drop In Program. Over the course of the next three Sundays, the Gardens’ education staff will lead participants through a ton of fun activities centred around nature appreciation. Activities include arts and crafts, story time, meeting cool critters (like a red-eared slider turtle), and feeding the ducks! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
