Make a Zine

Double Bind: Intro to Relief Printed Zines
Saturday 1:00 – 4:00pm @ St. Michaels Printshop

St. Michaels Printshop is hosting a zine making workshop this weekend where facilitators will teach you how to fold and bind your own zine, along with relief printing techniques.The workshop is beginner-friendly, facilitators will give demonstrations of all the techniques as well as guidance to participants who need it. The workshop costs $20.00 and everyone will go home with their very own hand-printed zine, hopefully the first of many!

The St. John’s International Circus Festival is coming to town in September 2018, the new festival will be four days of performances, workshops, and panel discussions. This Saturday people will be partying at The Space to raise funds for the new fest, there’ll be performances by Cirque’letics, iFLY Aerial Arts, Keith Power, Alley’Oop, Lynn Panting, Kittiwake Dance Theatre, and music by DJ Slim Macho. Tickets are $10.00 (cash at the door), there will be a cash bar and a chance to buy tickets on a 50/50 draw.

Saturday 3:00 – 4:30pm @ the Railways Coastal Museum

The Railway Coastal Museum is hosting an afternoon of crafts and activities inspired by communities across the island.This event is designed for kids ages 3 and up, it’s a great chance teach your tot about the magic of rural Newfoundland. A highlight of the afternoon will be the Museum’s original puppet show, they’ll be handing out road-trip snacks during the performance. Admission is $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for youth, and free for kids under five, with discounts for families, students, and seniors.
