Print Fair
5th Annual Printers’ Fair
Sunday 11:00am - 5:00pm @ The Rocket Room (upstairs Rocket Bakery)
Twenty local artists will be selling their printed work at the Annual Printers’ Fair this weekend. There will be prints, stationary, handmade books, posters, and more. Grab a coffee and a treat from the cafe downstairs and browse for yourself, or tick a few people off your holiday gift list.
For Teens
Teen Book Group
Saturday 2:00 - 3:00pm @ Marjorie Mews Public Library
The Marjorie Mews Public Library hosts a monthly book group where teens between the ages of 13-16 can get together to rant and rave about what they’ve been reading. The library provides a light snack and gives kids a chance to complain about the boring book they were assigned at school, or praise an awesome new series they just started. Librarians make sure the discussion is book-related but kids lead the convo and often leave with a stack of peer-recommended reads.
For the Kids
4th Annual Spawning Time
Sunday 1:00pm - 4:30pm @ The Fluvarium
It’s spawning time for the brook trout in Long Pond and The Fluvarium is inviting the whole family to come watch the female brook trout building their nests through the interpretation centre’s underwater windows. The staff will be offering building tours and interpretation, as well as fish-themed crafts and story time for smaller children.
