Live Music

Lo Siento/ Hard Ticket/ Flakey/ Yee Grlz
Saturday 10:30pm-2:00am @ Bar None

A stacked line up of pop punk fun featuring a ton of bands led by women. Local artist and musician Pepa Chan organized the show to loosely coincide with the one-year anniversary of the release of Fresh Riot, a compilation that celebrated a new wave of women-centered punk bands in St. John’s. Lo Siento will be selling their recently released debut album Bingo Bango at the show. Pick up a tape, have a few cheap drinks, and dance the night away.

Making Movies

Nickel 48HR Horror Challenge
Saturday & Sunday @ wherever you are

The Nickel Independent Film Festival is hosting their long running and much loved 48HR Horror Challenge this weekend. The contest invites people to gather a team, write, shoot, and edit a 5-minute horror film in 48 hours. Each team will receive an email describing a specific prop and line of dialogue that must appear in the film. Lights, camera, get creepy!

 For the Kids

Haunted House
Sunday 4:00pm – 10:00pm @ Paradise Double Ice Complex

The Paradise District Girl Guides are hosting a haunted house! There will be a little-kid-friendly tour in the afternoon and an extra-scary-youth-and-adult tour evening. A photographer will be on site to capture your hilariously freaked-out faces, and everyone is invited to warm up with some free hot chocolate afterwards.
