It’s been two years since Green & Gold released an album, and the wait will soon be over. In fact, here’s two demos from the forthcoming album:
As always, what stands out about Green and Gold is the craftsmanship of the music. They are a band of talented and creative musicians, many of whom are exclusive to this band (a rare devotion in this small city), and they’re fronted by a very interesting songwriter in Len O’Neill.
Of the new songs above “The City Dance” is a haunting, inventive piece of music, while “Medic” feels like the perfect balance between evolution and familiarity of the band’s signature sound.
The band has 10 new songs they’re working on for the new album — which they hope to release in April — and they’ll be testing them out at Saturday night’s show: A Yuletide Rock and Roll Show with Green & Gold, Steve Maloney & The Wandering Kind, and Allie Duff & The Happy Campers.
