“Your constant flow of selfies on Instagram make you seem either self-absorbed or desperate for reassurance you’re pretty, and it’s worse you try and pass them off as not selfies with stupid taglines like ‘waiting for mom at the airport!’, we didn’t need a selfie of that. Makes you seem so shallow.” – Selfie Slayer

Would also like a moratorium on people complaining about things “clogging up their feed,” if you don’t like what someone posts, unfollow them, mute them, whatever it takes. I don’t like seeing that junk either, it’s totally self absorbed, depending on my mood I’m either annoyed by it, or feel bad for the obviously insecure people posting these, but I also don’t have to see it if I don’t want to.
I love when my friends are feeling good enough about the way they look to post a selfie. You want to show off your beautiful face? Eff yeah, go for it! I’m glad you feel good about the way you look when we live in a society that tells you not to! Too many people get caught up in getting angry and upset about things that really have no impact on their lives.
Learn to see things in a different light. A) you’ll feel better by not getting upset by such trivial things and B) you can learn to appreciate beauty in things you take for granted… Like that friend who felt really good about themselves so they decided to take a picture and share it with friends.
The world can be a beautiful place if you choose to look at it that way.
Sigh, we all have these people in our feeds. Why post a pic of yourself in a bar bathroom, did not enough guys notice how good you’re looking so you’re reaching out to the Insta-world for validation?
