For more than a dozen years, the legendarily dreamy Writers at Woody Point Festival has immersed spectators in one of the country’s most charming seaside towns, where they take in multiple events, in quaint venues, among internationally acclaimed scenery. The festival features local writers and musicians alongside world-renowned visiting artists.
It’s become one of the country’s most intimate, heralded festivals. Equal part retreat and event, the festival has its own unique feel, and takes the picturesque little town over for 5 fun-filled days. No one leaves un-wowed, everyone leaves refreshed. There are bar patios that are wharves on the sea in a National Park; there are fun times at the legion, what more do you want? Stunning hikes and tours by day, fine, that’s an option too.
