Happening Saturday ($15)
10pm @ The Space / Eastern Edge

Quidi Vidi has been brewing some exciting new beers. Come check out their latest, Yung Dumb Crush at a “2-room raver” party this Saturday night.

Yung Dumb is a DJ-and-electronic-focused event planner party thrower, and soon to be record label based in St. John’s.

Yung Dumb’s Adam Harding says that partnering up with Quidi Vidi for a Yung Dumb beer came to be over a random chat between him and Justin Fong at Adelaide Oyster House. Adelaide will be providing delicious small plates at the event.

“Quidi Vidi seem to be focusing on taking the brand in a specialty/craft beer direction,” Harding says, “so working with other local brands and artists aligns with that, I think.” This is a soft launch, the beer won’t be officially available for a while yet. All the more reason to go to the event and drink up the preview.

Harding describes YUNG DUMB Crush as an “easy drinking blonde ale, because no one drinks stout on the dance floor.” Decent point.

“It’s a locally themed night, so all our DJs are local. Myself, Taner Churchill, Worker, and Bangtek. Newcomer L.O.A will be making her DJ debut as well.” He add, “We also have Party Favours and Mo Vaughn from the SHED crew who recently began DJing. You can expect a healthy mix of house, disco and techno.”

YUNG DUMB are starting a label here this spring as well. “Stay tuned for a 10 track compilation being released on digital and vinyl in late Spring!”
