The CMHANL have announced that Dan Goodyear has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer and joined the Canadian Mental Health Association – NL Division.
According to the press release, “Goodyear has a strong background in inclusionary practice having been on the ground floor in building inclusive programming within the K–12 and post-secondary education systems in the province. He brings a proven record of leadership, strategic development, customer service, and team-building to this position.”
His previous work experience includes time with the Department of Education and the College of the North Atlantic. Dan has a Masters of Education and a Bachelor of Special Education.
CMHANL seem confident “Dan has the financial management, relationship building skills, and the experience to meet the needs and challenges of CMHA-NL as we move forward with our strategic plan.”
His vision is to continue growing public awareness of mental health issues throughout the province, and to build on existing services to create a more comprehensive plan that will better meet the needs of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
