Happening Friday
@ Mill Street Brewpub (Harbour Drive),
7:30pm – 11pm; Free Event
Mill Street Brewpub like to brew locally themed beers from time to time. Their latest is based on a song by a local band, Town House.
Town House were longlisted for The Overcast’s Borealis Music Prize this year, and, took home MusicNL’s Rising Star 2017 award (as well as nominations for group of the year and alternative band of the year).
The beer is an IPA with a twist, The Town House Red IPA. The track it’s specifically based on is “Red.” Check it out:
..
Head Brewer Alexis Wagner collaborated with the band to “brew a delicious brew using 4 different malt types and hops including, Wild Turkey, Mount Hood, and Amarillo.”
The band is just getting back from touring Toronto. Come raise a glass of this beer to the amazing year they’ve had, the amazing record they made, and the great set they’ll be playing for you.
14oz Pints of the Town House Red IPA will be on for $5 all night, and for every pint sold that night, the Mill Street Brewery will be donating a $1 to Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation Music Therapy program.
Call ahead to book out a spot if you’re worried you won’t get in: 383-7070.
