Escape Quest, a local escape room adventure business, has transformed the 199 year-old LSPU Hall into fun adventure as a fundraiser for the Resource Centre for the Arts. It’s happening now until Friday the 26th.
“The Hall is a building with a richly unique history and setting, making it the perfect place for an immersive and haunting escape room,” explains Escape Quest co-owner Kevin Noseworthy. ”Players are really going feel like they are a part of the ghostly adventure, and we are so excited to bring the beautiful theatre to life in a really different way.”
“Whether you are our biggest fans or have never heard of us until now, we want folks to come out and play, have tons of fun, and support a really great organization doing so much for the arts in our community” says co-owner, Mark Denine. “We can’t wait showcase the amazing rooms, hallways, and spaces of the Hall.”
The LSPU Hall is one of St. John’s most storied and, according to some, most haunted structures, making it the perfect place for Escape Quest’s “largest and most elaborate escape room to date.” Book your tour and explore abandoned dressing rooms, narrow back stages, and the theatre itself, as you uncover the dark secrets of this historic building.
If you’re unfamiliar with “escape rooms,” they’re a new-ish global phenomenon in which a group is sent into a themed room from which they must escape using a series of clues and some general sleuthing.
Tickets cannot be reserved over the phone, they must be purchased with a Visa or Mastercard. But if you go into the box office in person, you can use Visa, Mastercard, cash, or debit. To learn more about this event or to book a tour contacting the RCA’s box-office online at www.rca.nf.ca or by calling (709) 753-4531.
