Today marks the kick-off of The St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival’s Scene and Heard Film Industry Conference, and it’s a doozy. It kicks off with an all ages music show at The LSPU Hall with Rae Spoon. And Saturday night, they’ll be screening My Prairie Home, hot off its Screening at The Sundance! The movie starts at 7, and will be followed by a Q&A with Rae Spoon. Why? Because My Prairie Home is a film about Rae Spoon. You can sample both Rae’s songs and the film you’d be seeing below. To Win a pair of tickets to the music event and the film screening, simply comment below: Name one female in film you admire. An actress, a screenwriter, a director, you name it.

Major Natalie Portman fan
Yes, Meryl Streep.
Love Meryl Streep.
Currently watching House of Cards on Netflix, I think Robin Wright steals the show, and she’s done some nice directing work for it too.
Charlize Theron embodies her characters as if in a trance. It’s really something.
Chelsea McMullan seems an appropriate response! I love Chelsea’s videos she’s shot for Rae, and look forward to My Prairie Home: also a McMullan project.
