According to a Fred’s Records’ review, “Ian Foster is a serious songwriter and a seriously good one. A storyteller and character sketch lyricist, comparisons can be drawn with David Gray, and pioneers of the sub genre like Jackson Browne and Paul Simon.” He’s released five albums, many of which have enjoyed award wins and nominations from places like MusicNL, the East Coast Music Awards, The International Songwriting Competition, and the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Letters Awards.
In anticipation of his upcoming album, The Great Wave, he’s offering “a special array of options for pre-order!” Check them out by following a link in the sidebar of his website: http://ianfoster.ca. There’s some great stuff up for grabs, including art from Ally Baird. Here is the opening track off his forthcoming album, The Great Wave.
