Happening March 9-11; Main Event Saturday Night
Multiple Events @ White Hills Ski Resort

brewSKI. This one wins for pun title of the year, and the event is topical to boot. March is craft beer month.

To celebrate, 8 local breweries have formed the Newfoundland and Labrador Craft brewers Association (NLCBA), and, to raise awareness and create some buzz around local breweries in fine style, they’re hosting a weekend-long party every weekend in March, all across the island, so you can taste their wares instead of just reading about them.

This weekend’s event is at White Hills Ski Resort, and will run all weekend-long from a free 80’s party night on Friday night (whip out your neon scrunchies and acid washed jeans!), to events like beer yoga, cooking with beer, a Beer 101 class, Brunch with the Brewers, and a full-on BrewSki Craft Beer Festival Saturday night.

The BrewSki Craft Beer Festival will feature beer from 6 local microbreweries: Port Rexton Brewery, Split Rock Brewery, Storm Brewery, Yellowbelly Brewery, Quidi Vidi Brewery, and Bootleg Brew Co. Tickets are $59, but that includes 12 samples, a souvenir pint glass, and live entertainment. Local food vendors will be set-up, and there’s a full bar service for when you run out of samples.

Why the NLCBA formed, and what it is, is this month’s Overcast cover story. Read it here.
