Boathouse set sail out of Niagara Falls in 1963, and have since opened 80 stores across Canada. As of this morning, their newest location is downstairs in the Avalon Mall. It’s their second store on the island — the other is in Corner Brook.

“In what the market is referring to as very challenging retail time, we are very happy to be expanding and helping to support the Canadian economy.” said Dave Patterson, Director of Sales and Operations. “Our presence in Newfoundland is an important part of the growth for Boathouse Stores.”

“Boathouse Stores, an active lifestyle retailer for apparel, footwear, and accessories, has been operating in Canada for over 50 years, and is focused on fashion for an active lifestyle consumer.”

Their featured brand include Vans, Tentree (a company that plants 10 trees for every purchase — as seen on Dragon’s Den), Converse, Crooks and Castles, and Hershel Supply Co., as well as exclusive brands Harlow, Mellisa, Kolby, Made for Eachother, and Instant Classic.
