Robin Durnford’s poetry collection Half Rock (Gaspereau Press, 2016) has been nominated for the 2017 E.J. Pratt Award, along with Michael Crummey’s Little Dogs and Patrick Warner’s Octopus.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday May 3rd at a ceremony at Government House in St. John’s.
Durnford’s earlier collection A Lovely Gutting was shortlisted for the Writers Alliance of Newfoundland & Labrador Heritage & History Award, and her illustrated chapbook, Fog of the Outport (artwork by Meagan Musseau) was the subject of a 2013 CBC Land & Sea documentary.
