The latest Etsy: Made in Canada Market is taking place at Atlantic Place (215 Water Street) this weekend. It’s always one of the best round-ups of local arts and crafters, of all things imaginable, and only happens a few times a year. The Merby’s will be there selling their new calendar as well. Open House at Signal Hill Campus

MUN is launching its latest building with an event open to the public and full of hands-on experiences. You can drop in at any point, and check out an art unveiling with live music, a chance to make your own lipgloss with the School of Pharmacy, a living library presented by the Harris Centre, activities courtesy of Let’s Talk Science, tours through the Emera Innovation Exchange, plenty of other things, and even some celebratory ice cream.

Chefs for Trails

@ Manuels River Interpretation Centre

For $99. 50 patrons can enjoy a unique culinary experience on Manuels River trails. Several well-known local chefs will prepare small plates with local ingredients at various points along the river trails, highlighting the fall harvest. registration starts at 1, the hike at 2. The event is a fundraiser for the Interpretation Centre, and features the following 5 chefs:

  • Adam Blanchard, Five Brothers Artisan Cheese
  • Daniel Butler, The Gypsy Tea Room & EVOO in the Courtyard
  • Roary MacPherson, The Wilds at Salmonier River Golf Club
