Every weekday in March we want to post some of the RPM Challenge albums you all recorded in February … So send along a link to yours, and tell us a little something about it? submissions@theovercast.ca.
Gloomdance is fuzzy “garage rock dance project” by Steve Pike and Adam Beardsworth. Written in just three dance, it’s a serious contender for the best album title of the year. Full of swagger and spirit, it’s right up your alley if you know who Eagles of Death Metal are.
“Myself and good friend Adam Beardsworth recorded this album in Corner Brook in February, united by our mutual passion for Van Morrison and despair. Everything was written and recorded in three fuzzy days, and mixed in the days following. This was the first RPM album for either of us, and we had a lot of fun doing it. We’re gonna try and get together in Corner Brook and St. John’s over the next year to play some shows as Gloomdance, and we hope people dig it. Soon, all the kids will be gloom dancing in the streets!” – Steve Pike
